Dallas Opera Trims A Show from 2011-12 Season

The Dallas Opera just sent word that, in an effort to “balance and stabilize company finances,” it has cut Katya Kabanová from its 2011-12 season. And it almost had to trim a second show.

North Texas NEA Grants Announced

North Texas arts organizations received 10 grants from the National Endowment for the Arts — for a total of $275,000. The projects supported include tours to small towns in Texas, better online access, stilt dancing and a Genghis Khan exhibition.
