THINK host Krys Boyd talks with Turner-Prize-winning British sculptor Tony Cragg about his work and the new exhibition, Seeing Things, running at the Nasher Sculpture Center through January 8. They discuss the natural-vs.human source of shapes in our world, his education in (and eventual boredom with) biochemistry, his drawings and his ‘dialogue’ with his sculptural materials, and how that leads to his art works. Currently, he says, he’s working on around 30 works — some for as long as four years, others he just started this week. The point is to keep working, he says.
