Art Conspiracy turns five this year on Saturday, December 12th. In anticipation of this year’s extravaganza, we thought we’d revive the Art&Seek studio tour series and visit some of the artists participating in this year’s ArtCon.

Our first trip was out to Little Forest Hills to visit the studio (and home) of artist and gallery owner, Frank Campagna. Frank owns Kettle Art Gallery in Deep Ellum, and his mural work around Dallas is legendary. You can find Frank’s artwork spread from the Deep Ellum Mural Project that runs along Good Latimer, to the marquee murals he paints for the House of Blues’ upcoming shows.

Deciding that Frank needed a real studio, two of his best friends agreed to build one on to his home for the mere price of a 12-pack of Vanilla Coke. Access to the studio from inside the house means having to wander through Franks bedroom closet. The main entrance at, the back of the studio, opens up to a lovely and tranquil backyard and deck, also adorned with artwork and fun surprises. It was quite a splendid adventure.
