I have had the privilege of being at one of the ceremonies when a portrait of a fallen soldier was presented to the family. It is done in a gratious tribute to that lost soul and I am sure it brings great comfort to the family. Phil is the finest portrait artist I have ever seen, he is able to capture the essence of the individual he is painting so the family can remember them as they were in life.

Phil painted my nephew, SSGT Christian P. Engeldrum, and he really made Chris come to life again in that portrait. I talk to Chris every day as I look at him and discuss many things for that day. Thank you Phil for using your God given talent and may He continue to bless you with this very important mission. Since we lost Chris I tell all our military and special friends that I adopted them as my nieces and nephews. So from Aunt Cathy "support our troops and God Bless and protect America."
