Think Video: Sara and Gerald Murphy at the DMA

“Paris Hilton with looks and brains and talent.” That’s how the Dallas Museum of Art’s William Keyse Rudolph describes Sara Murphy in this entertaining interview with Krys Boyd taped today for Think. And he suggests today’s celebutantes could learn a thing or three from this friend of Fitzgerald, Picasso and Hemingway. She and her husband Gerald, who anticipated the pop art movement about 40 years before it arrived, weren’t just in the right place at the right time, they created it, says Rudolph.

The exhibition runs til September 14 at the DMA. Check out the report from KERA’s Jerome Weeks.

DMA’s Randolph is always a wonderful articulate and passionate interview and Krys could get a corpse to share lively insight and intuitive thought. So this clip was like watching two great dancers doing the tango. Thanks for the preview of coming events.
